Klaserie Private Reserve
The wild end of the Greater Kruger
One of the largest private reserves in the Greater Kruger, with only a handful of lodges spread along the Klaserie River. There are no fences between you and Kruger, few vehicles and long, quiet sightings. It's also one of the best places in the area to explore on foot. -
Timbavati
Home of the White Lion
White lions were first seen here in the 1970s, carried by a rare recessive gene that still runs through Timbavati's prides. The fences with Kruger came down in 1993, so the lions, elephants and even wild dog move freely. Seeing a white lion is never guaranteed, which is exactly what makes it unforgettable. -
Thornybush
Where the dogs keep watch
Thornybush is home to a dedicated K9 anti-poaching unit, with handlers and their dogs protecting rhino across a reserve open to the Greater Kruger. Having trained alongside K9 units myself, this is a side of conservation I love showing guests.And the landscape is other worldy, many a day has been spent traversing this epic piece of ground.

Leopard country
Generations of careful game viewing mean Sabi Sands leopards are famously relaxed around vehicles. That gives you long, close, unhurried sightings, and some of the best leopard photography in Africa.
